Escape the Cold Contest Rules

*No purchase necessary. Contest ends September, 2012. One trip to Mexico available to be won. Open to residents of  the United States who are the age of majority. 

1. ELIGIBILITY
The Dutch Industries Escape the Cold Contest (the Contest) is open to persons who reside within the United States and who have reached the age of majority in the state in which they reside as of the date of entry for the Contest, with the following exceptions: employees of Dutch Industries, their respective affiliates, related companies, partners, suppliers, advertising and promotional agencies and the independent contest organization, and the household members and/or the immediate family of any of the above are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Contest not open for eligibility to residents of Rhode Island, Hawaii, or Alaska. For the purpose of the Contest Rules, “immediate family” means spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, son and/or daughter, whether or not they reside in the same household. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Participation in the Contest constitutes contestant's full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, these Escape the Cold Contest. Participants who do not comply with these rules are subject to disqualification. Dutch Industries has the right to change contest rules at any time. There must be a minimum of 500 complete entries before a winner is drawn.  Full entry form must be completed to be valid for entry. 

2. HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Promotion ends September, 2012. To participate, contestants can enter the Contest by visiting www.dutchopeners.com . To enter without internet access, contestants use the Enter to Win form found at Dutch Industries Exhibit booths, or at some participating local dealership selling Dutch Industries Openers. Entries become the property of Dutch Industries and contestants must fill in the entry form to its completion in order to win the Contest. Limit one entry per person, regardless of entry method.
By entering your email address, home address, and additional opener information you consent to being added to and included on Dutch Industries mailing list. Dutch Industries will not share or sell your email or home address; however, you may receive infrequent updates from Dutch Industries. 3. PRIZE
There is ONE Escape the Cold Contest package available to be won as the Grand Prize. This Grand Prize consists of a $4000 dollar gift certificate to a travel agency to put towards flights, food, accommodation, travel insurance, and taxes at a location of the contestant’s choice. Recommended travel is to Mexico as the prize is promoted as a tropical location for contestants to Win Big; however, the ultimate decision on the travel destination is completely the contestant’s responsibility. The $4000 Grand Prize cannot be redeemed for cash value and can only be used toward direct travel and vacation costs. If any amount of the $4,000 gift certificate is outstanding once it has been redeemed for use the contestant will not be permitted to keep the remaining balance, rather, that amount will be returned to Dutch Industries. Additional fees, taxes, food, spending money, and other expenses related to the prize are the responsibility of the Contest winner. All other costs and expenses associated with the Grand Prize, including, without limitation, transportation to and from the airport, all ground transportation, including ground transportation to and from the departure airport and accommodations, incidental hotel expenses, additional accommodation required, meals, gratuities, insurance, taxes, and items of personal nature are the responsibility of the Contest winner and his or her guest. The Grand Prize is subject to space availability at time of booking. Contest winner and guest must travel together and guest must be at the age of majority in the province in which they reside, except where the Contest winner is the legal parent or guardian of the guest(s). Travel must be completed by December 31, 2014. Black-out dates and restrictions apply. If the Contest winner and guest cannot complete travel by date specified, the Grand Prize will be forfeited in its entirety. The aforementioned description constitutes the expected components of the Grand Prize; all aspects thereof are subject to availability and subject to change. Certain activities or properties may not be available at the time of travel and Sponsor reserves right to make substitutions of Grand Prize elements in its sole discretion. Some additional restrictions may apply. Contest winner will be provided with additional details at or before time of travel.

4. SELECTION OF WINNERS
In September 2012,  a random draw will be conducted by Dutch Industries or its designee, the judges of the Contest, to select one (1) entry from all eligible entries received. The Sponsor or its representatives will attempt to contact the selected entrant by phone or email once per day for five (5) business days. If any selected entrant cannot be contacted after five (5) business days, or is contacted but is deemed to be ineligible in the Sponsor's sole discretion, or unable or unwilling to comply with the rules, that selected entrant will be disqualified and another name will be drawn. This process may be repeated until one (1) entrant has been declared a winner. Odds of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.
Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant must provide proof of identification.

6. RELEASE
By pressing "Submit" on the electronic Escape the Contest online form, you are confirming compliance with the Contest rules and acceptance of prizes as offered; releasing Sponsor, its agents and the prize suppliers in respect to injuries, accident, loss, or misfortune relating to the Contest or the awarding or use of the Grand Prize; and except where prohibited, acknowledging the Sponsor's and it agents', subsidiaries', or affiliates' right to publish or broadcast the winner's picture, name, address, voices, statements without further compensation other than the prize offered. By entering the contest, the winner and traveling companions automatically agree to release all liability and publicity to Dutch Industries prior to travel. In addition, the winner and their guest(s) when accepting the prize, release Dutch Industries of any harm or incidents that occur on the trip and show acceptance to these terms in accepting their Grand Prize package.

7. ERRORS, ETC.
The Sponsor is not responsible for (i) entries which are lost, late, incomplete, postage due, illegible, damaged, destroyed, or misdirected; (ii) telephone, technical, network, online, electronic, computer hardware, or software failures of any kind; (iii) incomplete, garbled or delayed Internet/e-mail computer transmission on account of technical problems, or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond its control which disrupts or interferes with the Contest; or (v) any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising out of entrant’s participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, including, without limitation, any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other persons’ computer relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest.
The Sponsor extends absolutely no representations or warranties in respect of the Grand Prize. If, for any reason, Dutch Industries website is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond its control, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the electronic portion of the Contest, including any method of entry, and randomly select the Contest winner from previously received entries. The Sponsor reserves the right to amend the terms of this Contest without prior notice if any factor interferes with its proper conduct as contemplated by these Rules.

8. MISCELLANEOUS
Grand Prize is not transferable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions, whether in cash or otherwise, except at the Sponsor's sole discretion. The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent or greater value if a prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason. Grand Prize will only be awarded to verified winner. All decisions of the Sponsor or their authorized representatives are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a person submitting an electronic entry, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person whose name is supplied on the contest form at www. dutchind.com
